Sabino Road Baptist Church can correctly be described as a Great Commission
Church. Using Acts 1:8 as a guide, the church supports several local
mission agencies, including Caring Ministries and the Crisis Pregnancy
Centers. We also provide breakfast and lunch at one of our parks once
a month (click here for more information). Two of the many ministries
of our state are the Arizona Baptist Children’s Services and the
three disaster vans, ready with trained crews for many disasters.Church planting and church planters is a major emphasis all over our nation and Canada. Our church has helped start two missions. For many summers our youth have gone as World Changers, and one year it was to England.
Around the world, we help support 5,500 overseas missionaries and about that many missionaries in our own country and Canada. We do this through a fund called the Cooperative Program. A church-approved percentage of undesignated gifts is divided between our various mission endeavors. This means our missionaries are not required to raise their own salaries. Besides our full-time missionaries, lots of opportunities are provided for short term missionaries such as two or four years.
We strive continually to increase our role as a Great Commission Church.
